Emergency First Response & AED

First Aid, Primary and Secondary care are covered in this one day course which builds your competence and confidence in performing CPR and First Aid as well as use of Oxygen Therapy & AED (Automatic External Defibrulators).

A short period of home study prepares you for your class where you’ll learn about safety assessments, barrier use to prevent disease transmission as well as injury and illness assessment. Skills practice follows in small groups (max 3) to handle unconscious breathing and non-breathing patients, as well as managing shock, serious bleeding and spinal injury.

You may be a scuba diver thinking of doing your Rescue Diver Course, but these emergency skills are invaluable for everyone and are not diving specific but focussed on everyday life.

The EFR course provides essential "Life Skills" to handle accidents and incidents, and is a nationally recognized qualification for first aid in the workplace.

Whilst the subjects covered are serious and are treated with respect, this program is run in a relaxed atmosphere, expect light-hearted moments and an enjoyable experience.
