Course Fees Are Dependent on Level Required
TEKKIE divers always look amazing, loads of cylinders, masses of equipment, but in reality they are diving with the minimum of kit their plan will allow. This is where the SERIOUS FUN really begins always treating the dives with respect….planning everything up front then going deeper and/or longer! This extensive and challenging training program involves commitment and investment in time and equipment, learning to complete Gas Switch extended range dives using technical dive equipment & techniques to go beyond the limits of normal recreational divers. You’ll need to have already qualified as a PADI Nitrox and Deep Specialist, and have at least 50 logged dives with specific experience in Nitrox & Deep Dives beyond 30m. To try out this style of diving there is the Tec Basics Course. Two pool dives getting ‘acquainted’ with Tec kit followed by two Open Water dives to show off what you have learnt. Next is Tec 40 the first of three sub courses that make up the DSAT Tec Diver Course. As a Tec 40 Diver you will be able to dive to 40m on air or enriched air, with deco up to 10 minutes duration using up to 50% O2. Tec 45 extends your limits to 45m, introduces accelerated decompression techniques with deco gas up to 100% O2. Finally as a Tec 50 diver you complete the Tec Diver qualification being able to dive to 50m, on air or enriched air, carry two decompression gasses with up to 100% O2. Understanding the hazards and managing the risk of technical deep diving is a challenge for a small niche of divers who take the sport seriously and are prepared for the investment in time, effort and money necessary to safely go beyond the limits of normal recreational divers. This is serious stuff with associated risks, not for badge collectors – this is the 1 in a 100 club! For further information, email: dive@scubasolutions.com |
